Entries Due By: Friday, August 14, 2015 [no late entries will be accepted]

Show Locations:   H&H Arena, 533 Ned Herman Road, Taylorsville, NC 28681

Hamburgers and Hotdogs will be sold to support the Junior Livestock Show


  • All ages are as of show day
  • Ages 5-18 are eligible for competition
  • Entry fees must be signed by participant and parent [see attached]
  • Junior Livestock Show is open to 4-H and FFA members in the following counties: Alexander, Caldwell, Catawba, Davie, Iredell, Wilkes, and Yadkin
  • Livestock includes: Beef Cattle, Goats, and Sheep

Entry Forms and Fees:

Ages 5-18:

  • Non-refundable $5.00 per livestock class entered [no fees for showmanship]
  • Participants can show up to the specified limit of each species [each species is eligible for showmanship]:

Sheep – 2 market lambs and 1 breeding ewe

Goats – 2 market meat goats, 1 breeding meat doe, and 2 dairy does

*Please note that the Dairy Goat Show will be separate from the Meat Goat Doe Show*

Beef Cattle – 2 individual class of either: 2 heifers, 2 steers OR 1 heifer and 1 steer

  • Wethers and Steers must be completely healed from castration
  • All sheep and goats must comply with USDA and NCDA&CS Scrapie eradication Program Guidelines [valid scrapie tag or registration paper with corresponding tattoo or microchip information]
  • Entry forms must be completely filled out for livestock shown [see attached]

Send entry form and all registration fees to the Alexander Extension Center by Friday, August 14, 2015
