We are excited to announce that the Alexander County Farmer’s Market will open on Saturday, June 16. It will be located in the old hospital parking lot and open from 8:00 a.m. until noon.

Some items available initially should include:  onions, peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, potatoes, okra, green beans, corn, squash, cantaloupes, peaches, various plants, baked goods, jams and jellies, and much more. To have the “Fresh Produce, Locally Grown” sign all items must be grown or produced locally or in our region of North Carolina. The Alexander Farmer’s Market is dedicated to keeping this a clean family oriented market. Market spaces are only $5 a spot. There are links below for rules and applications to sell. Our Farmer’s Market is sponsored by the Alexander Cooperative Extension Service.
