Alexander County 4-H Summer Opportunities

— Written By

Due to new guidelines from NC State University and NC State Extension we have received the final say on our 2020 Summer Program. The new rules released on Friday, April 3, 2020, stated there will not be any face-to-face programming for grades K-12. This is not just for camps, but all face-to-face programming including:  4-H presentation, District Activity Day, 4-H Electric Congress, 4-H Congress, and all county programming until NC State Extension notifies otherwise.

Good news though!!

4-H Agents from across the state and the 4-H Agent in Alexander County, DJ Salyer, are working on virtual and online ways to bring summer fun to youth. Also, State  4-H Staff are working to do District Activity Day, 4-H Congress and Citizenship Focus through virtual means.

Most importantly, if you are wishing to participating in any of the virtual events you must be registered in 4-H Online. If you have already registered sign back in and update your information for the 2020 year. Here is the link: 4-H Online Registration

Please stay updated here on the website and on the Facebook Page: Alexander County 4-H Facebook Page

We are saddened that we will not be able to see you guys this summer in person, but our main concern is the health and safety of everyone. As a reminder due to COVID-19 all staff is working remotely, but if you have any questions please email DJ at dj_salyer@ncsu.edu.
