Do you want to learn more about the culture and maintenance of plants? Do you enjoy working on community projects and sharing knowledge? Consider enrolling in the Extension Master Gardener℠ training class in Alexander, Caldwell, and Wilkes Counties!

The Extension Master Gardener℠ volunteer program is a national program of trained volunteers who work in partnership with their local N.C. Cooperative Extension Center to extend horticultural information throughout the community. Accepted applicants enter the training portion of the program, and can begin volunteering during the class.

The 2019 class will meet for 13 weeks on Wednesday afternoons. Most classes will be held in Alexander, Caldwell, or Wilkes counties. Residents of Alexander, Caldwell, and Wilkes are invited to participate.

Dates: February 13- May 8, 2019, on Wednesday afternoons, 1-4 p.m. (with a few exceptions; class times may vary to accommodate travel).

Class fee: $125 per person; includes training manual, all travel and material fees, and an official t-shirt.

Applications: Due Friday, January 25. Applications can be picked up at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Alexander, Caldwell, or Wilkes County Centers.
